After years of independent exploration, she decided to take her first official singing lesson at 18 and embarked on a journey to find her true voice.
Yan studied with vocal coaches from the American Musicians Institute College and IVA (Institute of Vocal Advancement), gaining a fresh perspective on singing that led to remarkable improvements. Her newfound skills propelled her to win a local singing competition in Hong Kong convincingly, setting her on a path of success.
With certifications including Level 3 IVA Instructor and Grade 8 Rockschool and Trinity College London in Female Vocal, Yan's expertise is unmatched. She's a master in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, and divides her time between captivating audiences at public events, teaching young children music and communication skills, and guiding teenage and adult students with IVA techniques.
Yan's dedication to her craft is unwavering. She continuously hones her teaching skills through IVA teacher training, always eager to delve deeper into the world of vocal pedagogy.
